Random facts: |
The choreography in this program is meant to represent a Hindu War
God, "whose arms - all six of them - made elaborate and symbolic
movements." The music was a mix of Borodin and Mozart, with a cut of
the opening of Phil Collins' "Find A Way To My Heart." This eclectic
mix came about because the choreographer, Brian Power, was trying to
find music to suggest one of the war god's activities, "The Churning
of the Universe," and was going crazy trying to find just the right
vast primal sound. Then, one day, Kurt put on a Phil Collins album in
his house, and Brian Power came running down the stairs since that was
exactly the sound he'd been looking for. (story from "Forcing the
Edge")
