Four-time World and Canadian Champion Kurt Browning stars in a new
television special that blends big band, dance hall and velvety smooth
moves and tunes. Set in an intimate nightclub on ice, KURT BROWNING'S
GOTTA SKATE III airs Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. on CBC Television.
Browning is joined by many internationally renowned figure skaters,
as well as multi-Grammy Award winning producer and performer David
Foster, who hosts the evening.
Vancouver singing sensation Michael Buble guest stars in the
special, and even serenades the audience while on skates for one of
his numbers. The Philadelphia Inquirer states, "With a voice timeless
and true, Canada's young Michael Buble is an heir to Sinatra and other
masters of smooth style." The New York Times declared that Buble
"drips with star quality."
Joining Browning on the ice: 1988 U.S. Olympic Gold Medallist Brian
Boitano, 2003 World Dance Champions and nine-time Canadian Dance
Champions Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz-in one of their last
performances together on television, six-time Canadian Champion
Jennifer Robinson, 1993 World Pair Champions and multiple Professional
Champions, Canada's Isabelle Brasseur and Lloyd Eisler and six-time
U.S. National Champion and 1996 World Champion Todd Eldredge.
KURT BROWNING'S GOTTA SKATE III was taped in Hamilton, Ontario at
Copps Coliseum. It is produced by Scott Moore and directed by Shelagh
O'Brien. Executive producers are Peter Sisam, Sarah Clarke and Kurt
Browning. It is an IMG-Canada Ltd. Production in association with
Broadcast Services International Inc.
