Scott Hamilton Joins the Cast for First NBC Skating Special Since Leaving Retirement

DENVER, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- NBC-TV will televise Kurt
Browning's 'Gotta Skate,' a unique figure skating show that integrates
skating with dance and music on Thanksgiving weekend, Sunday, December
1 from 4:00 -- 6:00 p.m. EST. Presented by Smucker's, the show
features outstanding Olympic and World champions, all skating with
live musical performances by some of the music industry's finest.
This incredible cast is headlined by four-time World Champion Kurt
Browning along with an outstanding cast of figure skaters, musical
entertainers and dance.Scott Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic Champion and
skating's goodwill ambassador will also join the event, which is his
first NBC televised program since coming out of retirement.
The company includes the modern dance group, Antigravity, who
performed in the closing ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games
in Salt Lake City. Canadian award winning recording artists Deborah
Cox and musical group Edwin and the Pressure, along with Canadian
Ballet principal dancers Sonia Rodriguez and Alex Antonijevic will
also join the cast.
Some of the world's most honored skaters performing include 2002
Olympic Gold Medalists Elena Berezhnaya & Anton Sikharulidze, the
remarkable symmetry of two-time Olympic pair bronze medalists Isabelle
Brasseur & Lloyd Eisler, two time Olympic Silver Medalist Brian Orser,
and two-time bronze medalist Lu Chen are just a few of the many
talented skaters in this extraordinary show.
