Best of Browning

TORONTO - Four-time World Champion Kurt Browning said he is hoping to release "kind of like a best hits" video. He indicated that the video would include his 10 best programs and excerpts from other ones. "We interviewed lots of skaters from Stars On Ice and friends and [people] like that," he said.
The production of the video has been progressing slowly, which has frustrated Browning, who had hoped to have it out for last Christmas. "Maybe we'll add something to it," he said. "I might call it 'Kurt: What's Up So Far.'"
In other developments, Browning is evaluating how to bes continue his Kurt Browning Junior Figure Skating Fund, which he set up almost three years ago to assist novice and junior skaters in Canada. Due to government-related red tape, it took a while for the money to start getting to the skaters, but the program now seems to be working successfully. "I wanted to find out if I could delegate $1,000 of it to a special skater," Browning said. "All the money [for this year] has been doled out already."
Browning decided not to travel to Nagano, Japan to work with the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) at the Olympic Winter Games, and instead he will be using the three-week break in the Stars On Ice schedule to get some rest.
"I had this great job [with CBC], but I really wanted to do color [commentary]," Browning said. "The job that I got wasn't the color, so I wasn't really involved in the moment. That's where I have the best to offer.
"But that's not why I'm not going," he explained. "I'm not going because I looked at the schedule, and I thought I'm not going to make it [through the season]. It's too much.... I just thought that three weeks can be better spent at the farm with my parents]."
